Arts Festival 2022At WSD, we value our Arts curriculum. We know that by engaging in the creative and performing arts, our students will practice a variety of skills and progress in all areas of their development.
Creative and performing arts allow our students to grow their physical, social, cognitive, and emotional development. Children also practice imagination and experimentation as they invent new ways to create art. In celebration of this, we are proud to present the GEMS Winchester School Dubai Arts Festival 2022! |
Arts Festival 2022
It was an immense honor to be tasked with displaying the artistic caliber of the students of WSD.
From conception to fruition, the art exhibition was an event brought together in a very short time. I would like to thank my team of Year 11 Art students for relentlessly building, painting and decorating; pulling off this herculean task in only a week.
I would also like to thank Ms. Shazia Rehman, the Head of Art, for giving the students so much creative liberty and allowing us to create an unforgettable event.
The event is a symbol of dedication; the school’s dedication to nurture the arts and encourage creativity in the students, and the students’ dedication to their passion; putting aside their weekends and free time to ensure that the event was held.
From the students that carved tediously endless paper vines, to the teachers that came on the weekends, to staff that so patiently dealt with the students all the way to the students who visited the exhibition, I would like to extend my gratitude.
Thank you for visiting the 2022 WSD art exhibition: Planet TARO-22.
